Becoming a member of LEAD means that you are only committing your email address, name, and phone number to be added to LEAD’s ‘membership list.’ This will allow you to receive LEAD newsletters, event invites, and other notifications. In addition, you will be prompted to set up a username and a password, which allows you additional access to view detailed information about local non-profits and available board or volunteering opportunities with those non-profits. If you decide not to become a LEAD member, you are still able to browse the non-profit opportunities on our website, but you will not have access to any of the detailed information regarding the opportunity.
Becoming a Member of LEAD
LEAD is a free membership-based organization that works to connect, train, and develop young professionals to become the next generation of Twin Cities’ philanthropic leaders. In turn, LEAD also helps Twin Cities nonprofits succeed by connecting them with talented and trained young professionals. Whether you are a young professional or a non-profit, by joining the LEAD community, you will immediately gain access to a network of like-minded individuals and organizations. So, what exactly are the benefits of joining LEAD?
For Young Professionals
Becoming a member of LEAD means that you will be asked to set up a profile on our website for your nonprofit. Creating a profile allows young professionals the opportunity to learn about your non-profit and contact you, if you choose to include contact information. Once a profile is set up, you are also able to post specific board positions or volunteering opportunities for which you are looking to fill. In addition, when you become a member, your email address will also be added to Lead’s ‘membership list.’ This will allow you to receive LEAD newsletters, event invites, and other notifications.
Whether or not you become a member of LEAD, we still invite you to attend events, use our website to connect with non-profits, and get engaged in the Twin Cities philanthropic community!
