Leadership Education

What better way to develop our next generation of Twin Cities leaders than provide them with valuable education?
We help put together incredible educational opportunities for you to learn about leadership.

Leadership Speaking Series

This ongoing Speaking Series is focused on educating young professionals as they grow in their leadership roles within the corporate and nonprofit sector of the Twin Cities metro area philanthropic community. During these speaking events, you will hear from relevant and engaging speakers that have experienced leadership roles within the Twin Cities corporate and nonprofit sector. Whether applying for a non-profit board position or applying for your next job, the lessons you will learn at these events are indispensable.

We typically hold these events a few times throughout the year in downtown Minneapolis over the lunch hour. To receive email updates on when the next Leadership Education Speaking Event is being held, make sure you sign up with LEAD on the homepage! These events are a great opportunity to hear an educational speaker while connecting with LEAD members over lunch.

Leadership Mentoring Program

The program will connect young professionals possessing a desire to engage with non-profits and community groups with experienced community and non-profit leaders and professionals. The aim is to create sustainable leadership for area non-profit and community organizations by engaging motivated young professionals that have a quality and varied skill sets to contribute to non-profit organizations. The program is related directly to LEAD’s mission of engaging young professionals in philanthropy.

While young professionals don’t always have the financial flexibility to provide significant monetary contributions to non-profit and community organizations, those young professionals have valuable skills that could provide just as much of a benefit. Through this program, LEAD hopes to continue its mission of helping young professionals bring those valuable skills to community and non-profit organizations.
